The ice cream giant’s new line, entitled “Spirits,” which they describe as “exträaordinary combinations of decadent desserts and premium spirits,” includes Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie, Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, Irish Cream Coffee & Biscotti, Vodka Key Lime Pie, and Rum Ginger Cookie. While whiskey and rum are typical boozy bases in desserts, vodka is an uncommon mixer that we’re excited to see incorporated.
Häagen-Dazs Is Making Boozy Ice Cream
Each flavor is made with real booze, but the alcohol content sadly doesn’t exceed 1 percent, according to Nestlé. And then there’s more bad news: The Spirits collection is only available at Walmarts in Canada at the moment, and there aren’t any immediate plans to release the line in the U.S. Of course, if the ice cream receives enough buzz and interest from potential stateside customers, that could change.
While the idea of moving to Canada to get our hands on these new ice cream flavors is tempting, we’re content with spiking regular ice cream in boozy floats and indulging in ice cream brands that actually get us tipsy.
