There’s Now a Vegan Baileys Pop Up Bar

By

There is only one place for vegan Baileys lovers to be on March 23: The Vegan Treat Shop Baileys Almande pop up bar in London. There will be dairy-free Baileys and Baileys-spiked (and very English) vegan desserts like sticky toffee pudding and Eton Mess. And—here’s the kicker—it’s free.

For the uninitiated, vegan Baileys is a similar liqueur to the classic, but with an almond base. It gets its flavor from sweet almond oil and almond essence, plus a little cane sugar and vanilla. Its taste is described by one online retailer as “dairy free and vegan-friendly, but very much not free from naughty, delicious indulgence.” Sold.

Pop up bar owners have been killing it in London the past couple years. Take the Harry Potter pop up, for example, or the Mean Girls brunch pop up, complete with a “that’s so fetch” call and answer session. Unfortunately, trips to the foggy city aren’t in the cards for all of us, but that doesn’t mean vegan Baileys lovers have to suffer from FOMO. If you can’t make it out to London, you can throw your own Baileys Almande party. It’s not free, but it’s something. The nut-based Irish cream hit the U.S. market in 2017 and is widely available. Just make sure to mix up the best Baileys cocktails out there if you snag a bottle.
