Bloody Mary Jello Shots

The Bloody Mary knows no bounds. You can freeze it into popsicles, top it with a whole chicken and even transform the drink into deviled eggs. But a classic cocktail hasn’t gone through a true Supercall rite of passage until it’s been turned into a Jello shot. So, to the savory, spicy Bloody Mary we say, your time has come.

You could make this recipe with a quality store-bought Bloody Mary mix like Ubons, but we’re partial to our own original recipe. Get the prettiest, greenest celery stalks you can find to make these fun boozy treats the centerpiece of your next gathering. They’re perfect for picnics, tailgates, potlucks and just about any other fun foodie occasion you can think of. Cutting the stalks to perfectly fit the baking dish takes some time and patience, but we promise the payoff is worth it as friends oggle your jiggly creation.

2 cups Bloody Mary mix
1 packet Knox unflavored gelatin
1 Cup Vodka
5 celery stalks

  • Heat the Bloody Mary mix in a saucepan until hot, about 3 minutes. Add the gelatin and whisk to combine. Stir in vodka.
  • Cut the celery sticks so they fit into a baking dish with the cut edges flush against the side of the dish as much as possible. Lay them flat with the hollow side facing up. Pour the mix into the celery crevices, being careful to keep as much of the mix in the vegetable as possible.
  • Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours. Slice and serve.
