Sometimes you just want to drink something blue. In those times, opt not for a Blue Raspberry Slurpee, but instead for this twist on a classic Martini made with vodka, blue curaçao and lightly bitter Cocchi Americano in place of the usual dry vermouth. A few dashes of orange bitters round everything out, bringing out the curaçao’s sweet, citrusy notes. It’s the perfect “up” drink for any luau or your next Fourth of July BBQ.

2 oz Vodka
0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
0.5 oz Cocchi Americano
2 Orange bitters
Orange Twist, for garnish


  • Add all ingredients except for the garnish to a mixing glass.
  • Add ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir until a frost has formed on the exterior of the glass.
  • Using a julep strainer, strain into a chilled coupe.
  • Garnish with an orange twist.
