They require more effort than your average Jello Shot—you need to carefully remove them from their mold and take care when writing on each one—but the results are well worth it. Conversation Heart Jello Shots
Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 packets gelatin
1.5 cups Vodka
.5 cups lemonade
.5 cups Raspberry Lemonade
.5 cups limeade
3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Yellow Food Coloring
red food coloring
Green Food Coloring
- In a pot, bring the lemonade to a boil.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle a packet of gelatin over top, letting it bloom for 1 minute.
- Add half a cup of vodka, 1 tablespoon of condensed milk and 1 drop of yellow food coloring.
- Whisk vigorously for 4 minutes, ensuring gelatin is completely dissolved
Set the silicone heart mold tray on a rimmed baking sheet (NOTE: If you don’t do this, it will be impossible to transport your shots to the fridge.)
- Pour the mixture into the silicone heart molds (the recipe should fill 20 of the 25 folds completely).
- Refrigerate for 2.5 hours until set.
- Remove the shots from the molds and write a message on each heart with the gel. (NOTE: Write on the side facing out in the mold as it will be drier and easier to decorate.)
- Repeat the process using green food coloring with the limeade and red food coloring with the raspberry lemonade.
