2 oz Blanco Tequila
1 oz fresh lime juice, plus extra for the rim
.5 oz agave nectar
5 small Fresh Cucumber Slices
Cucumber ribbon, for garnish
Salt, for rim (optional)


  • Rim a rocks glass with lime juice and salt, if desired, and set aside.
  • In a shaker tin, vigorously muddle cucumber with agave nectar.
  • Add tequila, lime juice and ice, and shake.
  • Fill the rimmed rocks glass with fresh ice, strain mixture into the glass, and garnish with a cucumber ribbon.

Mix it Up

If you prefer things on the spicier side of life, you can also easily turn this recipe into a Spicy Cucumber Margarita. To create this riff within a riff, add one to two small slices of fresh jalapeño peppers to the shaker tin with the cucumber slices and agave, and muddle. Alternatively, you could use a spicy tequila such as Tanteo Jalapeño, which has a grassy, vegetal and very spicy flavor that pairs beautifully with fresh cucumber. Whichever version you choose, we guarantee the heat of the day will be no match for the Cucumber Margarita’s cooling powers.
