Thin Mint Milkshake

If you haven’t popped a sleeve of Thin Mints into the freezer before eating them, then you haven’t lived. Inspired by the iconic, frozen mint chocolate cookie, this creamy spiked milkshake is made with vodka, vanilla ice cream, chocolate and crème de cacao. Fernet Branca Menta gives it a complex edge that let’s you know this is definitely a grown-up drink. It’s at once decadent and refreshing, improved only by the real deal frozen cookie as a garnish.

1 oz vodka
.5 oz Branca Menta
1 oz crème de cacao
1 oz heavy cream
1 pinch of sea salt
.5 Cup vanilla ice cream
3 dashes chocolate bitters
1 oz dark chocolate
.5 Cup crushed ice
Thin Mint


  • If garnishing with a cookie, slice out a sliver of a Thin Mint (so that it can fit around the rim of a glass) and freeze the cookie.
  • Blend all ingredients except for the garnishes in a blender on high speed until smooth.
  • Pour into a hurricane glass and garnish with a sprig of mint and a frozen Thin Mint on the rim of the glass.
