This smoky salt is for barbecue lovers only. Sweet blueberries and a touch of Liquid Smoke turn sea salt into a flame-broiled garnish worthy of epic cookouts and marathon pork roasts.
Smoked Blueberry Salt
freeze dried blueberries
4 tbsp Sea salt
1 tbsp freeze dried blueberries
1 drop Liquid Smoke
- Add the salt and blueberries to a mortar and grind with a pestle until you reach a uniform consistency. Alternatively, mix the ingredients in a small food processor.
- Add a drop of liquid smoke and stir to combine.
- Cover loosely with a paper towel and dry at room temperature for 24 hours. Stir mixture every few hours to keep it flaky.
- Store in an airtight container.
