Sex on the Beach

Explore drinks similar to this

Made with vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice, cranberry and Chambord, the Sex on the Beach was invented (surprise!) during spring break of 1987 in Florida. It was the product of a competition between bars over who could sell the most peach schnapps. Invented by a man only known as “Ted” at the Confetti Bar, the cocktail not only helped earn him the title but also started a craze. The somewhat unorthodox name comes from an interview in which Ted listed the two reasons he thought teenagers came in droves to Florida for spring break: the beach and the sex.
