Strawberries and Champagne are a no-brainer combination and absolutely beautiful when encased together in gelatin. A touch of elderflower-flavored St-Germain liqueur enhances Champagne’s natural sweetness, making every bite an absolute delight. While you can serve this boozy jello in the traditional plastic shot glasses, we think it deserves a more impressive presentation. Try pouring it into one big Bundt pan, individual molds or even wine glasses. Served with spoons, it’s a dessert worthy of an elegant dinner party, though it’s equally at home on the couch in front of the TV.
Strawberries and Champagne Jello Shot
2 cups Champagne
.5 Cup St-Germain
2 .25-oz packets gelatin
1 Cup strawberries
- Divide strawberries into molds or cups.
- Pour one cup of the sparkling wine into a pot. Sprinkle the gelatin onto the wine and wait 1 minute. Heat lightly and stir until dissolved. Do not boil.
- Add remaining sparkling wine along with St-Germain and stir.
- Pour liquid into molds and place in the fridge to set for at least 4 hours.
