For those that have an aversion to gin in cocktails; this Vodka Gimlet recipe is for you. Adapted from our recipe for a classic Gimlet, with vodka in place of gin, this cocktail is the perfect summer anytime sipper.

The Essentials

2 oz Vodka
.75 oz Simple Syrup
.75 oz Lime Juice
Lime wheel, for garnish


  • Add all ingredients except for the lime wheel to a shaker tin with ice. Shake.
  • Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

1 cup White sugar
1 cup Water


  • Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves, then immediately take the saucepan off the heat. 
  • Let cool, then pour into a container (a Mason jar works nicely) and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
